3 Tips to Coordinated (Indian) Outfits for Events or Photo Shoots
When you're a parent, there are plenty of things to keep you busy. But coordinating your family's Indian outfits to attend an event or for a family photo shoot can be a challenge.
One of the most important things to keep in mind is that the experience should be fun for everyone involved—including the kids! If you're having a hard time choosing what to wear for family photos, don't worry; we've got some ideas for coordinating outfits for kids that will leave them smiling. To start, think about what kind of outfits you want to wear or the type of photo shoot you'll be doing: Will it be outdoors? Indoors? What kind of clothes do you need for different settings? Once you know where you're going or where the pictures will be taken, plan ahead by looking at your closet and asking yourself: "What colors go well together?"
It's hard to know what will fit your kids, what they'll need to wear, and how long it will take them to change. Here are some tips for making it easier:
1) Plan your outfits in advance. Once you know the day of your event or book your photo session, start thinking about what to wear. You may think certain clothes will fit your kids or that one dress is clean. It's best if you start checking what fits or what doesn't so you can start feeling organized. If you wait until the day of or day before you may run into an issue of clothes not fitting, being dirty or need to be dry cleaned. This will help you feel less overwhelmed.
2) Choose coordinating colors, especially if you don't want to buy or don't have matching. You don't always want everyone wearing exactly the same thing. Pick up a color from one outfit and try to pick it up as an accent color in your other outfits for your family members. Use the season to help select color schemes for your outfits. You don't have to match exactly—just make sure it all looks good together!
3) Pick out accessories to add texture to your photos. Whether that means shoes, dupattas, or jewelry (or all three!). Choose pieces that will complement your outfit without being too overwhelming. Accessories can help bring your look together and make unique photos that everyone will love!
